Fall Registration vs. Application to Graphic Design

Some Additional information you should be aware of relating to applying to the graphic design major at the end of this semester:

On the current application form, it has ART 1040 listed as a class. HOWEVER,
ART 1040 is no longer offered. ART 1050 is the correct prerequisite. The handout is indeed out of date.

Is AH 2000 an option for the other art history requirement?
Students are required to take two of the following three classes to apply to the graphic design major: AH 1700, 1750 and 1850. They'll need a waiver to get AH2000 to count in our program.

How do students register for classes for next fall? What do students normally do that are applying to the graphic design program?
Students don't need to worry about getting crowded out of our junior design major classes, since no one can register for those until we let them. The graphic design department will give Adam Wagner a list of names of those who are selected for the program after the review takes place and students have been notified. ALL applicants should assume they are not getting into the major and register for whatever their "Plan B" is. If they get in the major they can drop/add in May. This way students will at least have their classes set up in advance.
