This is what Portfolio Review Looks Like

Big Shout Out to Jon Hart who visited the class last night to go through his sophomore portfolio of work just for you. It's always great to see and hear another student mentoring another set of designers. Jon has some wonderful work if you want to visit his blog at www.jonmhart.blogspot.com. Thanks Jon for taking time out of your busy schedule to visit and go through some of the critique.

Here are some photos I took from last year when everyone had finished turning in their portfolios for review. There were 46 portfolios and you can see how they appeared prior to the Instructors coming in to go through the work. Again, do your best, that's all anyone wants you to do.

Think about this as you prepare your work:
Keep it simple and clean presentation from start to finish regarding how you present your work.
Like Jon said perhaps go from your logo in a progression throughout all your classes.
I would start off with your logo or a specially designed page for the event.

Design really is nothing more than problem-solving, Improvising, being resourceful and finally enjoying what you do.It all comes through. You should also be kind to your fellow classmates as you speak of them. You never know perhaps one day you'll be interviewing for a job at a place you really want to work and there is the person you
might have spoken badly about in your class so many years earlier. They might forgive you but they seldom forget. Choose what you have to say about your fellow classmates wisely. The Design world is small and it's a very interconnected discipline so don't burn your bridges.
